Must be a blend of at least 3 varietals.
No grape can be less than 5% or more than 50%.
40% min combined:
Kadarka, and Kekfrankos
also allowed:
Kékoportó (aka: Portugeiser), Blauburger,
Zweigelt, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon,
Merlot, Pinot Noir, Menoire, Syrah

What is
Districtus Hungaricus Controllatus?
(DHC)
A Hungarian system created in 2006 similar to the Austrian DAC system.
Supposed to recognize the best queslity of wines coming out of a region…
It seems only Villány wines labeled as “Prémium” qualify to bear the DHC label.
Label depicts a blossoming Crocus flower.
Villány Prémium Voros wines must be aged in oa for minimum 12 months.
