A container used for collecting Aszu grapes, it hold roughly 25 kg.
What is Tokaj Aszu.
It is a style of Tokaj made from Aszu grape paste that is mixed with Barrels of base must or wine of non Aszu grapes. The number of puttony filled with Aszu paste that are mixed into a Gonc determines the sweetness (3-6 puttonyos)
How long must Tokaj Aszu be aged?
It ages just over 2 years before release with a minimum 18 months in Barrel.

What is Tokaj Esszencia?

What is Tokaj Szamorodni?
Translating to (As it Comes) Szamorodni is produced from a mixture of Aszu and non-Aszu grapes and is often oxidative in style. They may be sweet or dry in style.
