HUMAN PROTEIN FRACTIONS Flashcards
HA1000
HUMAN SERUM ALBUMIN
Manufactured from downgraded therapeutic human serum albumin. Analytes, solubility, filterability and stabilities are all based on a 5% solution. Tested for a range of analytes. 5% solution means dissolving 5% of Human serum albumin power in 95% of solution. Usually the solution is deionized (DI) water (removal of all mineral ions in water).

HUMAN SERUM ALBUMIN, LOW B12/FOLATE
See Human serum albumin definition. Low B12: Normal range for B12 is i160 - 950 picograms per milliliter pg/mL) while low B12 for GW is ≤ 80 pg/mL.
Vitamin B12, or cobalamin, is naturally found in animal foods. It can also be added to foods or supplements. Vitamin B12 is needed to form red blood cells and DNA. It is also a key player in the function and development of brain and nerve cells. Vitamin B12 binds to the protein in the foods we eat.
Low Folate: Normal ranges of folate are 2.7 - 17.0 nanograms per milliliter (ng/mL). while low folate for GW is ≤ 2.0 ng/mL
Folate is a B-vitamin that is naturally present in many foods. Your body needs folate to make DNA and other genetic material. Your body also needs folate for your cells to divide. A form of folate, called folic acid, is used in fortified foods and most dietary supplements.

HUMAN SERUM ALBUMIN, FATTY ACID FREE
See Human serum albumin definition. Fatty acid free: ≤0.05 mmol/
HA2200
HUMAN SERUM ALBUMIN, 20
See Human serum albumin definition. 20% solution is dissolving 1/5 amount of Human serum albumin power in 4/5 of of solution. Usually the solution is deionized (DI) water (removal of all mineral ions in water).
HA2500
HUMAN SERUM ALBUMIN, 25%
See Human serum albumin definition. 24% solution is dissolving ¼ amount of Human serum albumin power in 3/4 of solution. Usually the solution is deionized (DI) water (removal of all mineral ions in water).

HUMAN GAMMA GLOBULIN, POWDER
Human Gamma Globulin is a blood protein produced by lymphocytes and plasma cells of the immune system when an immune response is needed. Almost all forms of Human Gamma Globulin are known as immunoglobulins, also called antibodies, which are globulins that help with immune responses and immunity
