a. Endomorph: more fatty tissue, thicker body parts
b. Mesomorph: early maturity, stocky/heavily muscled, broad body
c. Ectomorph: late to reach maturity, thin body, narrow hips, long arms and legs

Infancy/Toddler (0-2/3)
A
- 2x birth weight in 6 months and 3x in one year
- End of 2nd year brain is 75% of adult weight and body length increases by 50%
- Muscular development
- Ability to perform basic tasks (grasp→crawl→stand→walk)

Childhood (4-10)
A
- Rapid stage of growth from 4-6
- Stabilization from 6-10
- Uniform relationship between bone and tissue growth and development

Puberty/Adolescence (11-18)
A
- Growth speeds up physically and psychologically
- Sexual maturity
- Pituitary glands triggered
- Girls get breasts, body curves and menstruation and boys get semen, facial and body hair and a deepened voice

Adulthood (18+)
A
- Most growth has taken place
- Weight gain, reduced oxygen capacity, rise in blood pressure, joint deterioration occurs
- Conditions caused by diminished exercise, diet and nutrition issues, increased stress and responsibilities

A
- Infant developing intelligence through motor activity without use of symbols
- Knowledge based on immediate experience
- Ability to use memory to recall objects and events

- Intelligence through use of symbols

- Logical thinking develops and ability to solve logical problems
