- The tendency or inclination of anything towards what is good for it.
What is concupiscible appetite ?
An inclination towards good things that are easy to obtain.
What is irascible appetite ?
This is inclinations towards good things that are difficult to obtain.
What is the source of the concupiscible appetite ?
Perception and imagination
What is the source of the irascible appetite ?
Cogitative sense and the memory.
What are the characteristics of emotions ?
- Object (stimulus)
- emotion (mental agitation)
- Organic alteration / physical symptoms
- Behavior or manifestation.

Initiates the emotion mechanism.
e.g. fear in the face of danger.

The subjective impression of external reality
