what’s the role of HR
Work that must be done by human resources, usually broken down to a number of different jobs it takes care of employees
Why is verbal communication good?
The person giving the message can emphasise points through tone and can explain
Why do businesses have a vacancy?
An employee has found another job maternity and maternity to leave it retires
What’s the job description?
A document that describes the duties that a worker is required to carry out
What’s the person specific?
A document that lists the qualification skills and experience that worker needs to be able to carry out the particular job
What’s an application?
provide information in an answer to questions
Good things about application forms
Employee can compare information easily more likely to be up-to-date
What’s the letter of application?
letter written by the applicant explaining why they believe the suitable for the job 
What are some methods of selection
Group activities, presentation, and tests references 
What are some financial methods of motivation?
regular, pay and fringe, benefits and bonuses 
what is a fringe benefit?
extra benefit given in addition to an employees pay, for example, company car 
Definition of training
The short-term process of increasing the knowledge and skills perform their jobs effectively
definition of development
Long-term process, help the worker realise the potential
What induction training?
Aimed at introducing new employees to a business and its procedures
What’s on the job training?
Employees receive training while in the workplace, they are showing what to do through demonstration or shadowing
