How to Write the Direction
Write them step by step, including everything you have to do. Do not write every muscle movement, but be persistent. Think of the little things.

Process of Writing a Materials List
- Read your procedure. As you read, make sure you have every single item that you will need for the lab.
- When you complete the materials list, go back and make sure you have everything.
- Make sure you think of how you will move the liquids in the procedure
- Rewrite your materials list on loose leaf with the NDJA heading
What to think of when you are finished
- Put your papers away and go work on something else of an hour
- Wait about an hour to a day and then retread your procedure
- —-Picture yourself doing the procedure, and make sure what you saw is written down
- Look at your data tables, will they work?
- Is everything done?
