Palm Sunday:
Christians are given palm crosses at church to take home to keep until the start of lent the next year.
The palm leaves remember Jesus’ arrival in Jerusalem.
On Ash Wednesday the old crosses are burned
Good Friday:
Vicar wears black robes for mourning
Churches are cleared of colour, candles are unlit
Some Christians may walk around their town carrying a very heavy wooden cross.
Some may eat fish
Easter Sunday:
Priests wear bright robes in celebration
Churches are filled with flowers to symbolise new love
Easter eggs are given out to represent new life
Lighting candles to remember that Jesus is the light of the world, who has driven out the darkness through His Sacrifice
