What are the differences between Matthew and Luke account of the nativity?
Matthew said Joseph was visited by angel that told him to marry Mary and not to expose her pregnancy
He also said wise men followed a star to Jesus’ birthplace
Luke said Shepherds were led to Bethlehem by an angle
He also said Mary was visited by an angel who told her she would give birth to God’s son
Why is Christmas so important?
It marks the end of a world of ignorance greed and hatred
God became a human so we could understand what he is like and he could understand our suffering
Jesus’ coming signifies a spiritual turn for mankind that is to be celebrated
Because of God’s reason for sending him to Earth
