What is meant by revocation?
-A person who makes an offer can revoke at any point but they must give notification of withdrawal.

-Offer to buy house
-would remain open for 5 weeks
-offer revoked after 3 wks but tried to accept 2 wks later.
-revocation had been communicated +ended offer.
Dickinson V Dodds (think dick and son)
-Revocation can be made by a 3rd party as long as they are reliable.
Errington V Errington ( eeeeerr-intgton)
-Revocation is not allowed where there is ongoing acceptance and has started paying money in instalments.
What does a counter offer do?
-Rejects the original offer and creates a new one

What does a lapse of time do?
-if an offer has an expiry date it will cease to exist after date.
