A

Foal got mildly sick then better. Later on, horses on the farm getting diarrhea/endotoxemia and the other forms.

CBC: Neutropenia and Left Shift
Endotoxic Shock: Cold Extremeties**

How do you DX Salmonella?

A

Fecal Culture and PCR. PCR is better. Want more than one sample.

Culture is not that reliable, must be done 5x and still not considered neg. if nothing grows.
