Adrenaline
Name the hormone produced by the pancreas.
Insulin
Name the hormone produced by the ovaries.
Oestrogen
Name the hormone produced by the testes.
Testosterone
State two ways in which communication via the endocrine system differs from communication via the nervous system.
Any two from:
- The endocrine system uses hormones rather than electrical impulses
- In the endocrine system, messages travel via the blood rather than via neurones
- The effects of the endocrine system are slower
- The effects of the endocrine system are longer lasting
