A
- It is a condition where the pancreas produces little or no insulin
- This results in a person’s blood glucose rising to a level that can be deathly

A
- It is a condition where the pancreas doesn’t produce enough insulin or when a person becomes resistant to insulin
- These cause blood glucose levels to rise

Explain some methods of controlling both types of diabetes.
A
- Insulin therapy involves injecting insulin into the subcutaneous tissue, from where it will enter the bloodstream
- Eating a healthy diet over foods high in carbohydrates/sugars which cause blood glucose levels to rise
- Taking regular exercise helps to remove excess glucose from blood
