- Active or recent arterial thromboembolic disease (i.e angina/MI)
- Pregnancy
- Thrombophilia
- Active liver disease with abnormal LFTs
What are some reasons to prescribe transdermal preparations?
Persistent troublesome symptoms with oral treatment
Cardiovascular risk factors
History or increased risk of VTE
