what is homeostasis?
A constant internal environment within a living organism despite internal or external changes to maintain stable cellular conditions.
what is metabolism?
the chemical changes that take place in a cell or an organism?
What is anabolic?
Small molecules are assembled into large ones, energy is required.
What is catabolic?
Large molecules are broken down into small ones, energy is released.
What are feedback loops?
The modification or control of a system based on its results. Controlled by the nervous and endocrine system.
What are negative and positive feedback loops?
Negative - slowing down a process
Positive - growth of the output signal
What are receptors?
Receive information, consist of hearing smell taste touch vision oxygen muscle and skin
What are effectors?
Send out information.
