Homeostasis
The body’s ability to maintain relatively stable internal condition’s
Receptor
A type of sensor that monitors and responds to changes in the environment and sends the information to the control center
Control center
Revives information and analyzes it then determines the best response or corse of action to take
Effector
Provides the means for the control centers response to the stimulis
Negative feed-back mechanisms
The net effect of the response of the stimulus is to shut off the the original stimulus or reduce intensity
Positive feedback mechanism’s
They increase the original stimulus and to push the variable farther from its original value casing them to be rare in the body
Homeostatic imbalance
A disease that cases an imbalance
