Q

What is the Negative Feedback Example

A

A negative feedback is when a variable triggers a counter response, in order to keep the bodies regular temperature.

-Thermoregulation- Stimulus > Sensor > Contro > Effector

When there is a high temperature (Hot):

  • Sweat is released from the sweat glands
  • Hairs lay flat
  • Vasodilation to lose heat

When there is a low temperature (Cold):

  • Shivering due to muscle contraction for heat
  • Hair stand up
  • Vasoconstriction to keep the heat in.

Q

What is a Positive feedback example

A

A negative feedback is when instead of having a counter response to a variable, you intensify the variable. An example of this is:
-Childbirth, when your body is producing oxytocin that makes your body contract.
