What is the Treatment Action Campaign (TAC)?

The Treatment Action Campaign (TAC) founded in 1998 was one of the most important civil society organisations active on AIDS in the developing world. Its original aim was to campaign for access to AIDS treatment and is rooted in the experiences, direct action tactics and anti-apartheid background of its founder (Zackie Achmat)
