8th november 1923 The germans were angry at the government for the lack of action they were taking. Hitler decided to stage a ‘putsch’ in Munich, and he, the Nazi and the SA tried to overthrow the government. But he and others were shot and imprisoned instead

The Reichstage (german parliment building) is set on fire and the nazis point there finger at the communist party. Hitler creates an ‘enabling law’ in march 1933 which allows him to make up laws in an emergancy. He bans other political parties
