A Christian Trade Union official who was chancellor from 1930-32 (ruled by presidential decree).
Who was Kurt von Schleicher?
An army General and last chancellor of the Weimar government.
When and by whom was the SA first banned?
Brüning banned the Nazi SA on 13th April 1932.
How did the SA manage to stay in action?
Kurt von Schleicher persuaded Hindenburg not to support the ban as they helped counter the communist threat (without presidential backing Brüning could do nothing).

Use the popularity of the Nazi party but control the amount of power that they had.
