Unfair treatment of a person or group based on their identity. This was how the Japanese Americans were treated.
Prejudice
Negative Attitudes towards a particular group based on their identity.
Japanese Internment Camps
These places were where the Japanese Americans were taken and were sort of held prisoner there for about 3 years. They were in locations like the dessert.
Franklin Delano Roosevelt
He was the U.S president at that time and was the one who decided to create the Japanese Internment camps.
Attack on Pearl Harbor
It was when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor, Hawaii and declared war on the U.S. The U.S was then forced to join World War II. This was also the cause of the hate towards the Japanese American citizens.
Bias
Negative thoughts or ideas about, or against a certain group based on differences, real or imagined, without any factual basis. Prejudice is an example of bias.
Scapegoating
The act of blaming an entire group of people for the actions of one or a few.
