Q

Name 3 things that undifferentiated mesenchymal cells can differentiate into

Q

What are the two types of fats?

A
  • White, a large single fat globule in each cell, appears white in slides
  • Brown, found in shoulders and in new born babies, cells contain many gobules of fat

Q

What is the structure of collagen?

A

individual collagen fibrils consist of overlapping (overlapping gives rises to characteristic banding of collagen fibrils) linear strands of tropo-collagen. Tropo collagen molecules are secreted from cells and assembled into fibrils extra-cellularly.
Each tropocollagen subunit consists of 3 linear polypeptide chain would together in an alpha helix. (usually two similar chains and one dissimilar)
