A

Origin:
* Ilium posterior to posterior gluteal line
* Dorsal surface of sacrum and coccyx
* Sacrotuberous ligament
Insertion:
* Upper fibers: Posterior part of the iliotibial tract and the tensor fascia latae muscle
* Lower fibers: Gluteal tuberosity of the proximal femur

Innervation
* Inferior gluteal nerve
