Gluteal folds
greater trochanter
quad fullness
What is usually the cause to an Abduction SD?
Hypertonic IT band.
What is Adduction SD usually due to?
hypertonic long or short adductors
What is Fabers position?
what way are patients’ activating force during MET/ART?
Leg to be tested is Flexed, Abducted, Externally Rotated at the thigh and knee
Push down towards the ground looking for restriction of motion.
towards the sky while you push down
What’s the position for ER of the hip?
hip and knee flexed to 90, contact knee and ankle and push towards contralateral leg
What is Hip extension SD usually because of?
hypertonic HAMSTRINGS or gluteus maximus!
Thomas test is what?
assesses for a tight iliopsoas
flexion of the opposite hip causes hip flexion in the dysfunctional side.
seeing if the back of their thigh is touching the table (that would be negative)
