Hip Motions

Anterversion
Pigeon Toed. More internal rotation.
Retroversion
Bow legged. More external rotation.
Angle between shaft and the neck of femur in the transverse plane.
Angle of Torsion
Angle between shaft and the neck of femur in the frontal plane.
Angle of Inclination
Angle greater than 130 degrees.
Coxa Valga. Limb longer and more abducted during weight bearing.
Angle is less than 125 degrees.
Coxa Vara. Limb shorter during weight bearing.
Main hip flexors.
Iliopsoas (Ilicus & Psoas Major)

Iliofemoral Ligament (anteriorly), Pubofemoral Ligament(medially/inferiorly), & Ischiofemoral Ligament (posteriorly).
Small ligament that attaches acetabulum to the fovea in the femoral head.
Liagmentum Teres
Lip of fibrocartilage around acetabular rim.
Acetabular Labrum
Landmark that separates the anterior abdominal wall from the thigh. ASIS to pubic tubercule.
Inguinal Ligament
Long, tendinous portion of the TFL muscle. Iliac crest to tibia.
Iliotibial band
