High Performance Tools (study #6) Flashcards
Week 1. Session 2.
What is the benefit of “High Performance Tools”?
These 8 tools will help you to:
- Propel change in your life.
- Equip and empower you to get into the high performance mindset and lifestyle.
What is a “baseline”? Give 2 examples.
It’s a measurement of where you are within the arenas of your life.
- It’s a tool to test, rate and track yourself.
Why is having a “baseline” a good thing?
This let’s you know if you’re improving or not in the areas of your life that matter most to you.
How do you implement “baselines”?
Schedule a specific day/time to check-in with yourself. This could be done weekly, each morning or every night.
What are “triggers”? Give examples
Cues that remind you to do a specific action or think a specific thought.
What is a “doorframe trigger”?
A reminder cue or intention trigger is anytime you walk through a door, it triggers a question for you. This question helps you reset how to be and who to be.
What are “inspiration stacks”?
You know ‘why’ you truly want something AND you stack inspiration on top of that ‘why’ to make you achieve that goal.
What’s the benefit of “inspiration stacking”? Give examples.
- When your ‘why’ is strong and stacked with inspirational element after element, this creates a compelling reason to follow through on your goals.
- The more powerful the ‘why’, the more powerful the goal and the more likely you are to take action & achieve that goal.
What is the “Power of 3s”? Give 2 examples.
- People remember sets of 3 easily.
- Conveying 3 things within a conversation or speech is known as a “best practice” – 3 things to do, 3 ways to think, 3 goals to achieve etc.
What is “Habits & Schedules”?
Scheduling habits & action steps that help you progress towards your goals.
Ask yourself: “What are the habits I could setup now to move my life forward in this area?”
What are “Comrades”?
- Getting involved in a community that inspires you.
- Comrades can be friends or someone you pay to help you progress in your goals.
- Brendon says, “High Performance must be social. You have to have a peer set in the topic you’re working on, having conversations with, and following up with to grow to that next level. It. Is. Vital. It’s essential.”
What is “Fitness”?
- It’s essential to high performance.
- The greatest tool to high performance is energy and one of the best ways to achieve energy is to be healthy & fit.
What is “Journaling”? Give 2 examples.
- “Journaling is simply you recording your journey. Journals are for journeys.” – Brie Resilient
- Every significant shift in one’s personal development comes from writing things down because it makes them question where they’re at.
