What is the meaning of “influence”? Give 2 definitions.
- The process of producing change in another’s actions, behaviors & opinions.
- The capacity to have an effect on the character, development, or behavior of someone.
What does “effect” mean?
A change that is a result or consequence of an action or other cause.
What are “Intention Cues”?
Pre-determinded ways of feeling, thinking and experiencing – including your interaction with others.
How do I create “Intention Cues”?
Ask yourself, “What are the top 3 characteristics I want to exude in my personal AND social interactions?”
These are 3 ways of being you desire for acquaintances & those in your closet circle to describe you as. This is how you want to be perceived.
How do I implement my 3 words? Give 2 examples.
- Once you’ve chosen your 3 words to live out each day, set a reminder on your phone (10am, 2pm, 6pm). What you’ll find is that: a) You’ll always be surprised when you see your 3 words show up on your phone. b) You’ll be able to reset & refocus.
- Head to your contact list and for those you talk with often, add an intention cue that’s specific to them. Ex. Veronica – listen, end on high.
What are “Energy Triggers”?
Mental reminders and real-life tricks that improve your energy, raise your level of positivity and presence throughout the day.

- The ability to begin all your conversations – even the difficult ones – by explicitly stating your positive intent for the other person and the relationship.

The ability to change the emotional tone of a conversation by asking questions that bring depth and meaning, then ending the chat with joy and enthusiasm.

- An interest or pursuit that controls, absorbs or possesses the mind.
What is “Benefit Extension”?
The ability to express to another the benefit of why they should do what you’re suggesting – the advantage they AND others would gain through their actions.
What is a “Goodbye Standard”?
A goal of how you want others to feel after they’ve interacted with you.
What’s one example of a “Goodbye Standard”?
Ending your interactions on a high note, with positivity, with a “Bam!”. Lift up your tone. Lift up your energy.
