1495: Warbeck arrives in Scotland
Marries J4’s cousin, shelter for 2 years + support for invasion. However, little noble support + invasion force of 1400 men driven back. H7 receives £50k loan + £120k Parliament taxes. But, Cornish Rebellion diverts forces.
1496: Henry joins Holy League
Anti-French alliance with Pope, HRE, Spain, Venice + Milan. However, remains neutral + signs trade agreement with France, preserved friendship.
1496: Magnus Intercursus
Signed with Burgundy for favourable English trade - trade anywhere except Flanders without paying tolls + withdrawal of Duke Philip’s support of Warbeck.
1497: Peace of Ayton
7 year truce, first peace treaty since 1328.
1497: Warbeck captured
Executed two years later, along with Earl of Warwick.
1501: Marriage of Arthur to C of A
Arthur dies in 1502.
1502: Treaty of Perpetual Peace
1503: Margaret marries J4. However, border raids continue, Auld Alliance + J4’s naval expansion strain relations. Border - stabilised, not secured.
