What are the S&S of retroperitoneal bleeding/ hematoma?
A
Diffuse lower abdominal pain and tenderness
Weird tingling sensation in left leg ( in this case )
Pain on active and passive extention of left hip
(Suspected in ptn on anticoagulants with low hemoglobin level )

Shall you give anticoagulant again to ptn who recently suffered from hematoma because of them?
A
It depends if the bleeding is major or minor!
Major means :
1-fatal bleeding
2-symptomatic in crucial area
3-reduce HG >2/dl
4-need > 2 until of whole blood of packed RBCs on transfusion

How to diagnose hematoma?
A
1-history
2- CT scan
3-CT angiography ( to look for active bleeding)
