PSEU (Proximity Switch Electronic Unit)

Dual Channel Lights Acronym (GSPAM)
a. GPS
b. Speed Trim Fail
c. PSEU
d. Auto Slat Fail
e. Mach Trim Fail
REVERSER – Normally OFF, if Illuminated:
ATIS
i. AUTO-RESTOW circuit has be activated in flight
ii. TR Sleeves not in commanded state (1 or more)
iii. Isolation Valve not in commanded position
iv. Sync-lock circuit failure has been detected
STBY RUD A System:
What is added with the STBY RUD B?
i. Activates STBY System pump
ii. Turns off LOW PRESSURE light (FLT CONTROL)
iii. Opens STBY RUD Shutoff Valve
iv. Illuminates STBY RUD ON light
v. Enables LOW PRESSURE light (STANDBY HYD)
STBY RUD B System:
i. Illuminates YAW DAMPER
ii. De-magnetizes switch and springs to the OFF position
ALTERNATE FLAPS (ARM) (5)
i. Closes the TE Flap bypass valve
ii. Activates the STBY Pump
iii. Opens the STBY Valve
iv. Arms ALTERNATE FLAPS switch
v. Enables the LOW PRESSURE light
FEED DIFF PRESS Light
What is it ?
When would we see it? (2)
Excessive differential pressure between ELEV A and ELEV B
- Elevator Feel Pitot may be blocked
- Illuminates with loss of a Flight control hydraulic system
Failure of a DEU will cause the following indications (4)
o Both EEC’s revert to ALTN mode
o Hydraulic quantity will not be visible on the affected side on lower display (dashes)
o A Speed limit flag will be visible on failed side
o Min maneuvering speed and stick shaker band will be
removed from airspeed indicator on failed side.
