Visceral and ocular larva migraines or toxocariasis

A

Infectious species: Roundworms, toxocara species
Associated animals: cats and dogs
Route of transmission: Fecal-oral: accidental ingestion of infective eggs with dirty hands or contaminated food/water
Symptoms: depends on affect organs. Loss of vision, respiratory signs, hepatomegaly. Cam be severe in children

A

Infections species: tapeworm, taenia species
Associated animals: cattle, swine
Routes of transmission: Consumption of undercooked beef or pork
Symptoms: asymptomatic or GIT signs. When symptoms occur, more common in children
