Q
Steps for laying the hedge
A
- starting at the most uphill point, clear out hedge from anything this isn’t a stem. Cut out branches, deadwood, bramble etc.
- Partially sever the stems about 4/5th through, and lay it over at 30 degrees.
- Remove heel.
- Use hazel stakes to support the stem so it doesn’t move. Don’t put stakes in between fork - this will push stake over. 5. Drive in stakes with mallet.
- Use bindings to hold stakes and hedge together. This will help it regrow and establish.
