Q

Function of digoxin

A

Digitalis blocks Na and K ATPase pump
increasing the flow of calcium ions into the cell

Q

Adverse drug reaction of digoxin

A

it is a narrow therapeutic index (NTI)
RXNs starts at GI(nausea and vomoting)
then moves to cardio( arrhythmias)
then moves to neuro(seizures and blurred vision and vision colour changes)
