What is the difference between an MD and a DO?

A

MD is an allopathic doctor (diagnose illnesses, provide treatments perform procedures, writes Rx’s) and a DO does everything an MD can do, but they use osteopathic manipulative therapy (OMT) to treat their patients.

Define ACO payment model.

A

Stands for Accountable Care Organizations. Providers voluntarily provide care to Medicare patients. When done right, health care dollars are spent wisely, it will share in the savings it achieves for Medicare programs.
