Reporting of injuries , diseases and dangerous occurrences
What does COSHH stand for?
Control of substances hazardous to health
What is the health and safety at work act?
Duty of the employers to ensure health, safety and welfare at work of all employees and those who enter the workplace
What can be reported under RIDDOR?
- work related accidents which cause death
- work related accidents which cause serious injuries
- diagnosis of certain industrial disease
- certain dangerous occurrences
- person incapacitated for over 7 consecutive days due to incident at work
What is included in the COSHH risk assessment?
- identify the hazard/substance

- assess the risk
