Itchy scalp
Feeling of something moving in the hair
Oval shaped white eggs on scalp
Excoriation marks on scalp, neck and behind ears

A
Detection combing
Visible inspection

What is the management of head lice?
A
First line - dimeticone 4% lotion applied to the hair and left to dry
- Repeat 7 days later
Fine combs can be used in combination to comb head lice out of the hair
