Boundaries of the Pharynx

From the
Inferior border of the skull base to
in between inferior borders of C6 and cricoid cartilage

Posterior to nasal and oral cavities and extends inferiorly past the larynx

Upper and Wider end: Lying under the skull opposite the hyoid bone
Lower and Narrower end: Continuous with the esophagus at the level of the inferior border of the C6 vertebral body
