How can the physical and chemical hazards be broken down
Physical - hot/cold/pressurised
Chemical - toxic, corrosive, flammable, expolsive, oxidizing.
What are the different ways you can be exposed to a HAZMAT
Ingestion. Inhilation. Injection. Absorption. Chemical or hot/cold burn.
What is the UN number
A 4 digit number which identifies a hazardous substance
What is the ADR
E.g. X338
1st figure indicates primary hazard.
2nd and 3rd figure indicates secondary hazard (If doubled the hazard is intensified)
If it is prefixed with an X it reacts with water and water should only be used with approval of experts.
