Hard things from anatomy exam 2 Flashcards
What structures are associated with the right lung
The right lung is associated with the azygous vein, the esophagus, the heart, the SVC and the IVC
What structures are associated with the left lung?
The left lung is associated with the esophagus the heart, the arch of the aorta, the left subclavian artery, and the left brachiocephalic vein
The aortic vestibule is wherw
it is found in the left ventricle right before the aortic valve
The sinus venosum is where?
It is in the right atrium
The conus ateriosis is where?
It is in the right ventricle
which layer of the plesura of the lung is sensitive to pain?
the parietal pleura
What are the layers from superficial to deep around the heart?
You have the fibrous pericardium whcih is attached to the parietal pericardium, then you have the visceral pericardium (epicardium) attached to the heart. The parietal and the viseral form the serious sac.
Layers of the heart
Epicardium, fat, myocardium, endocardium
what drains the thymus?
bracocephalic, inferior thyroid and internal thoracic
arterial supply of thymus?
internal thoracic arter
describe the path of the left phrenic nerve
The phrenic nerve crosses the aortic arch, runs across the pericardium, runs anterior to the root of the lung and then supplies the diaphragm
describe the root of the left vagus nerve
the left vagus nerve crosses the aortic arch and runs posterior tot he root of the lung
What is on the right side of the trachea?
arch of the azygous vein, the right vagus nerve and the pleura
What is on the left side of the trachea?
The arch of the aorta, the left common carotis A, the left subclavian artery and the pleura
What is posterior to the trachea?
THE ESOPHGUSSS
What is anterior to the trachea?
The SVC, the Left brachiocephalic vein, the brachiocephalic trunk, the arch of the aorta and the pulmonary trunk
What is anterior to the esophagus
the trachea, the pericardial sac,
What is posterior to the trachea
verterbal bodies and the descending aorta
