How to wash hands:

A

1) Wet both hands and forearms with running water with as hot of water as you can stand).
2) Apply soap; scrub hands and forearms for at least 20 seconds with anti-bacterial soap at hand sinks.
3) Clean under fingernails and between fingers.
4) Rinse away all soap thoroughly under running water.
5) Dry hands completely with a single use paper towel or warm hand dryer.

When to wash hands:

A
  • Before food prep, when first enter Kitchen.
  • After leaving Kitchen, returning to Lab.
  • After restroom.
  • BEFORE handling raw foods, AFTER handling raw foods.
  • After touching face, hair, or body; After sneezing, coughing, or blowing nose.
  • After handling chemicals, garbage, refuse, dirty dishes and laundry; after touching contaminated items (dirty work surfaces);
  • Before changing stations from the dirty dish area of dish room to clean dish area of dish room.
