Whenever the hands are visibly soiled, after interacting with someone who has Clostridium Difficile (C-Diff), after using the bathroom and before eating.
What is the correct water temperature to use and why?
Warm water, as it will not damage skin integrity.
How long should the nurse perform friction with soap and water?
15-20 seconds
If the nurse/student touches the inside of the sink during washing what should they do?
Start over, informing the instructor first.
