What are the steps to asbestos?
Duty holder to assess whether the premises contains asbestos
Assess the risk and produce an asbestos management plan
Produce an asbestos register
Make the register available to everyone
Review the register regularly
Two types of asbestos survey
1 - management survey - no sampling, locate and assess.
2 - Refurb/ demolition survey - required where the premises needs updating. Samples need to be taken.
