Q

M.V - five males selecting

A
  • development section
  • in unison, asymmetrical cluster as they move
  • stepping towards a female with red dress as their arm comes across face in a circular shape. males turn to right end in squat looking a woman.
  • 5 males in unison, the whole group in contrast creating segregation also giving attention to the males as they search for chosen one
  • asymmetric cluster = portraying division as not everyone has an opinion in the choosing as its only males
  • as group structure shows division it creates gender tension in that the men are forcefully going towards women making them fear
  • as women are oppressed by powerful men it creates gender tension shown through the group structure and movement
