Any loss or abnormality of psychological, physiological, or anatomical structure or function
Disability
A limitation by a loss or reduction of functioning. Limitations become disabilities when they interfere with a person’s attainment of his or her educational, social, or vocational potential
Handicap
Impairment and disability that gives a person an occupational, social, and educational disadvantage.
Special Education
Instruction designed to meet the unique needs of students with exceptionalities

Prevalence
the percentage of a population displaying a disorder during any specified period.
