Level Death Benefit: First-Day Coverage with additional 25% payout on the total face amount.
What are the rider features of the ASSURANCE PLUS product?
The ASSURANCE PLUS product has two rider options:
(1) Accelerated Death Benefit Rider and (2) Child/Grandchild Rider.
- Accelerated Death Benefit Rider is no additional cost. Benefit is paid as a lump sum payment based on the present value of the death benefit.
- Terminal Illness: Life expectancy is 12 months or less.
- Chronic Illness: Cannot perform Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) for at least 90 days or requires substantial supervision.
- Child/Grandchild Rider is an optional rider that the applicant can purchase at the time of application for only $1.00 per month. This rider will pay $2,500 on the death of a dependent child or grandchild.
Does the ASSURANCE PLUS product have any medical/underwriting questions?
Yes. The ASSURANCE PLUS product has 4 medical/underwriting question that the client must answer “no” to all in order to qualify for the ASSURANCE PLUS product. If the client answers “Yes” to any of the 4 medical/underwriting questions s/he will not qualify; however, you can then pivot to Great Western’s GUARANTEED ASSURANCE product which does not have any medical/underwriting question, but will be more expensive.
