- e.g. ‘in’, ‘on’, ‘under’, ‘by’, ‘with’, ‘from’, ‘over’, ‘through’, ‘behind’, ‘to’

- A word that joins clauses together

A
- Signal the start of a coordinate clause
- Which is essentially a main clause joined to another main clause
- e.g. ‘and’, ‘but’, ‘or’
