They also may need to give advice about taking the medication

3 Challenges of GP

A

Too many patients, too few appts, many are heading to A&E with problems that a GP can manage
Increase in number of elderly patients, many with comorbidities that are difficult to treat
Difficult to train GPs as the GP training programmes are usually undersubscribed, so there are not enough to fill all the GP jobs available
