Glucocorticoid therapy Flashcards

1
Q

When is high glucocorticoid activity in itself of no advantage?

A

When it is NOT accompanied by low mineralcorticoid activity.

For example, the mineralcorticoid activity of fludrocortisone acetate is so high that its anti-inflammatory activity is of no clinical relevance.
