Peter pan collar
- a collar that is flat and has rounded corners. Got its name from the Peter Pan costume made for the American actress Maude Adams in 1905 for the eponymous play.

Jabot collar
- a decorative garment accessory falling from the throat, suspended from or attached to a collar. First appeared in the 17th century as an essential part of the upper-class men’s fashion. Became a component of women’s fashion in the 19th century. It is usually made with lace, cambric or other light fabric.

Chelsea collar
- a low “V” shaped neckline with a stand and long points meeting at the front set into it.

Mandarin collar
- a small tight upright unfolded collar. Derives its name from the uniform of mandarin bureaucrats in Qing-era China.

Boot cut pant
- a pant with a slightly flared leg opening at the bottom and a tighter or straight leg fit from waist to knee. Got its name because it has more room on the ankle and calf to accommodate a massive boot.

Bermuda shorts
- a type of short trousers that usually are 1 inch above the knee. They are considered to be a more appropriate business attire in hot subtropical and tropical climates than the typical heavier formal clothing. Gained their popularity in Bermuda, a British Overseas Territory.

Stirrup pants
- the tight pants that are similar to leggings in a way they taper at the ankle but they also extend to a band or a strap that is worn under the arch of the foot to hold the pant leg in place. They were originally sportswear for women, however, they have become a part of street fashion since the 1980s and keep coming in and out of it.

Pedal pushers
- calf-length tight pants. They gained their popularity during the 1950s and early 1960s. Their name originated from the style originally worn by cyclists.

Hip hugger pants
- low-rise pants that accentuate the waist, stomach, and hips. First became popular in the 1960s. They are often associated with a “rock star look” as they have been worn by a lot of famous performers such as Madonna, Mick Jagger, Cher, and others.

Box pleat skirt
- a double pleat skirt with a fabric folded under at each side. It is done to contain the fullness of the fabric. It falls in attractive folds when pleated this way.
