ceftriaxone or ciprofloxacin
Distal ileum and colon affected, bloody diarrhoea, Shiga enterotoxin

Avoid Abx, ciproif rqd
mesenteric adenitis, necrotising granulomas, reactive arthritis, erythema nodosum, cold enrichment

Rice water stool, comma shaped, oxidase +ve, late lactose fermenter. massive diarrhoea without inflammation

comma shaped, oxidase +ve, ingestion of raw seafood,

Cellulitis in shellfish handlers, fatal in HIV +ve

Prodrome of headache, fever, abdo cramps

Assoc with GBS, reactive arthritis

Watery diarrhoea, cramps, headache, fever, LITTLE VOM

Motile trophozoite in stool
Colonise colon
Bloody diarrhoea, weight loss + RUQ pain –> liver abscess
